This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you interact with us, whether through our website, by email, by telephone, or in person.

We are registered in England and Wales under company number 13197250 with our registered office at: Britannia Court, 5 Moor Street, Worcester, WR1 3DB.

You can contact us with any data protection queries at: hello@stainlesssteelproducts.co.uk

1. The Data We Collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, company name, and postal address.
  • Enquiry information: details provided via our contact forms, email, or telephone conversations.
  • Marketing data: preferences relating to receiving marketing communications from us.
  • Order information: details necessary for fulfilling your order, including delivery addresses.
  • Website usage data: information collected via cookies and analytics (see section 8).

We do not collect or process any special category data (such as health, race, religion, or biometric data).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries submitted via our website, email, or phone.
  • To process and fulfil orders, including liaising with delivery partners.
  • To share relevant details with SSP Slovenia, our manufacturing partner, to enable production of your order.
  • To manage customer relationships using our CRM (Capsule).
  • To send marketing emails and updates, where you have consented (using Transpond).
  • To monitor and improve our website performance, using analytics tools.
  • For security and legal compliance, such as fraud prevention and record-keeping.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We rely on the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR:

  • Consent: for email marketing where you have opted in.
  • Contract: where processing is necessary to fulfil your order or respond to a request relating to your purchase.
  • Legitimate interests: to respond to enquiries, maintain business relationships, and monitor website usage/security.

4. Sharing Your Data

We may share your personal data with trusted third parties, including:

  • SSP Slovenia (our manufacturing partner).
  • Delivery and logistics companies, depending on the best transport option at the time.
  • Capsule CRM (our contact and project management system).
  • Transpond (for marketing communications).
  • Analytics providers such as Google Analytics.
  • Other professional service providers (IT support, website hosting, legal or accounting services).

Some of these third parties are based outside the UK/EEA. Where we transfer your data internationally (e.g. to Slovenia or US-based service providers), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We never sell your personal data.

5. Data Retention

We retain customer and contact data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy. Given the long lifespan of our products, and the fact that customers may return after 10–15 years, we retain order and customer records indefinitely unless you request deletion (see section 7).

Marketing data will be retained until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe.

6. Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) for our website and email.
  • Restricted access to systems storing personal data.
  • Use of secure, GDPR-compliant third-party platforms for CRM, marketing, and hosting.

However, no transmission of information via the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure. You share data with us at your own risk.
